Thanks everyone for another year of pain, sweat and tears!! We are proud of everyone that competed in the race and survived the additional storm we through in.... your welcome. Next year we are thinking of adding a tornado complete with flying farm animals!

Recap:
The start was an orienteering course through Cannonsburg Ski Area complete with a CP at the top of the main hill and a rappel off the back... (pretty sweet). Next up was Townsend Park. Teams had a fun orienteering course to battle through. Racers where then off to Luton Park for some single track and orienteering. But along the way CP's on sandhills and hidden in water fill creeks gave the teams good leg burning challenges.
The final area lead the teams through Pickerel Lake to Camp Rogers where they had an underwater CP in Little Bostwick Lake! Soaking wet it was back on the bikes and to the finish at Cannonsburg. Of course, since this is the Stark Raving Mad all of the racers were treated to a good windstorm and soaking rain which added to the excitement......

We'll see you all next year!

Teams will be required to navigate each stage of the race using provided, pre-marked topographical maps. Teams will be required to carry the gear on the mandatory gear list which is posted here.

Trekking / Trail Running / Orienteering:
The total on foot distance will be determined as date draws near, but plan on between 4 - 6 miles - more depending on the selected route. You will see dense woods, trails, and the occasional wetlands! Hmmmm.

The course will include single track, dirt and paved roads. Maybe a little "hike-a-bike" too. Plan on around 12 - 16 miles of biking.
